Why we recommend Propane over Butane:
Propane has a lower boiling point than butane giving it a higher vapour
pressure at equivalent temperatures.
What does this mean in terms of having
a BBQ?
Well, propane will continue to convert from a liquid to a gas even in
very cold conditions, this is because when stored as a liquid in a tank,
propane exerts a greater pressure than butane at the same temperature. It is
therefore accepted that Propane is more suitable for exterior storage and
use and ability to operate in lower temperatures giving a more even burn
makes it suitable as a fuel for many applications.
