This machine uses thermo block technology as opposed to a conventional boiler which has the benefit of faster heating, fresh water and reduced scaling as the heating element isn't continually immersed in water. Each side of the machine has a flip lid compartment for storing and warming 3 espresso sized cups.
Flow-stop technology so the coffee maker remembers the size of coffee you like so you just need to press one button and the machine stops when the right amount of coffee has been brewed. The 1 litre water tank is removable for easy filling, while the brewing unit is backlit for a great "boy's toys" effect.
Another useful feature not found on all Nespresso machines is the ability to fold up the tray on which you place your cup to be filled so you can fit a tall cup under the pouring spout.
