The new Hayter Harrier 48cm Pro Model 496 rear roller rotary lawn mower has variable speed auto-drive and a powerful Briggs & Stratton Intek 55 OHV engine for reliability and easy starting.
This new updated and improved model for 2008 features a new heavy duty gearbox and clutch, a stronger roller drive assembly with a precision fit shaft, self aligning bearings, chain drive and a new sprung grass deflector and grass bag.
This impressive model has been designed for the heavy workload of the professional gardener/landscaper who wants to achieve a beautiful finish on all lawns. In addition to the Briggs and Stratton OHV engine it has a front bumper bar to help prevent impact damage and handlebar supports for extra strength.
A simple hand control drives the machine effortlessly and a separate lever controls the speed of the mower to suit the operator's preference and the area being mowed.
The split differential ribbed rear roller gives a traditional striped finish to fine lawns and with the cutter blade raised slightly rougher areas can be cut with ease. With a cutting width of 48cm (19inches) this mower is ideal for medium to large lawns and a pleasure to use around intricate areas or large expanses of lawn.
A cutter-bar friction disc is fitted which protects the engine crankshaft from bending. This disc is unique to Hayter and limits impact damage should you accidentally hit a solid object and thereby qualifies for a lifetime guarantee against engine crankshaft bending.
