Driza-Bone is an Australian icon in riding coats; it is recognized not only in Australia but also throughout the world for quality, practicality and the Australian flair. The name Driza-Bone (Stryne for "Dry as a Bone") was registered in 1933, around the time the waxed cotton cloth was developed in Britain to replace the old cloth coated with linseed oil. Over the years, many myths and legends have sprung up around this remarkable garment until today the Driza–Bone® coat has become an Australian institution. It is a name synonymous with wet weather and performance wear throughout the vast continent.
New for 2008, the Driza-Bone Mens Bushman Jacket is essentially a shorter version of the traditional Driza-Bone oiled cotton coat. It is lightweight, but still maintains the traditional Driza-Bone windproof and waterproof qualities in the fabric. This new jacket is designed more toward everyday use, out and about and the more active lifestyle especially throughout the summer months. In addition to all of the standard features we have come to expect from Driza-Bone, this is the only model in the range which comes with a
free Driza-Bone cape.
