Bamboo Carbon Technology
Bamboo carbon is a highly porous material that provides more area to wick and disperse moisture, therefore decreasing dry time. The high porosity also also allows the boot lining to act as a net to trap odour-causing molecules, where they can quickly decompose without releasing any smell.
This technology comes from dried bamboo that is carbonised in a kiln at nearly 800 degrees Celsius and ground into a fine powder. This is then blended with a polymer to form fibres that are woven or knitted into fabric. And as the bamboo carbon is added to the polymer, it becomes part of the fabric and so the performance qualities do not diminish, unlike a fabric coating that can wash away.
